The Boasso Franco Winery was founded in the early ’70s when they started vinifying their own grapes from their own vineyards.
The company’s Barolo comes, in fact, from the Gabutti vineyard, facing south-east on calcareous soils, from the portion of the property in the Margheria, half a hectare facing west, and the Barolo Serralunga that comes from the vineyards located in plots adjacent to the sub-zones. Renato Ratti already classified the Gabutti area as a first category.
The choice to reduce yields, to act promptly in green operations, and the optimal choice during the harvesting phase allows us to offer the ideal base for wines that lend themselves to long aging.
The Franco Boasso winery traditionally vinifies and refines the wines in medium-sized barrels and is an excellent representative of the various vineyards’ potential in Serralunga d’Alba, combined with the experience and great passion of Franco Boasso and his family.
In addition to the Barolo production, the company’s label portfolio also includes Dolcetto, Barbera, and Langhe Nebbiolo.
